How do I get started?

Log onto The Polar Plunge Website and click the Register button.  You can start a team, join a team or join as an individual. Set up your Personal Plunge Page and you are on your way to “Freezin’ for a Reason!”  Check out the site or Facebook page for more great information about team building and fundraising ideas!  

Did you know?

Special Olympics New York has 66,835 athletes and unified partners training and competing year-round in 22 Olympics-style sports. Our athletes and their families or caregivers are NEVER CHARGED to participate!  Set your Plunge goal at $400 and you have sponsored an athlete for an entire season!

COOL SCHOOL CHALLENGE:

Register your school Team today, recruit the most Team members, AND raise the most for a chance to win our Cool School Challenge. Winners will receive a Cool School section at the plunge and a special prize on the day of the Plunge! Think you have what it takes to be a "Cool School"? This is a new challenge that will take place every year at the Town of Huntington Polar Plunge. We must have at least 5 schools particpating in order to hold the competiton!

*All students who raise $150 or more will receive 10 hours of Community Service*

LAW ENFORCEMENT CUP:

The top fundraising Law Enforcement Team will win the rotating Plunge Cup, and be the FIRST group into the water leading the athletes and torch.

2022 Winners: Southampton Town PBA

GRAND CLUB:

Raise $1,000 for the Splish Splash Polar Plunge and receive a custom Special Olympics New York Polar Plunge gift, to recognize your fundrasing achievements.

CHAMPIONS CLUB:

Raise $2,500 for the Splish Splash Polar Plunge and receive a custom Special Olympics New York Polar Plunge gift, to recognize your fundrasing achievements.
